A core principle of transition is found in the way you give. This isn't merely about finances; it is about the posture of your heart. When you give of your wisdom, your time, and your grace during a transition, you are not just leaving a legacy, you are clearing the path for your own future. True stewardship isn't found in your bank account; it’s found in how you pour into others even as you prepare to walk away.

​During my years in formal employment, the Lord revealed I would be transitioning to a new institution. Instead of an abrupt exit, I chose to sow a seed of intentionality by training my successor. I ensured continuity because the way you leave matters.

​There is wisdom in honoring what you leave behind. When you exit through the doors of resentment, negligence, or pride, you create a spiritual breach that can frustrate your progress in the next assignment. Before God takes you higher, He observes how you release what is behind you.
